Word Work: Today let's do some toe touches, jumping jacks, and circle claps to spell our words
should, good, any, some
Make some new long o and long u Magic E words today:
ton-tone, con-cone,
tot-tote, mod-mode
cut-cute, dun-dune,
fum-fume, fus-fuse
Remember to pick an activity from your March choice board too!
Reading: Yesterday we thought about crayons and if they had feelings. Today let's share our "thinking before reading" chart from yesterday. Now let's reread just a page of the Day the Crayons Quit to get to know our crayon characters a little better. After we read please complete the Day 2 page and share your answers with someone at home. Remember to read for 15-20 minutes and fill in your reading log. You can even log onto Raz-kids and read online too!
Math: I want to check in and see how you did with adding two digit numbers yesterday. After we go over your paper together from yesterday, you can log onto your Pearson Realize account.
Ask someone at home to help you login. You will have a chance to pick a profile image and complete today's assignments. Then go back to page 5 in your math packet and complete math facts #14-26. Ask someone to time you for two minutes. Can you beat the timer today?
Writing: Let's write a "How To" today. Remember all the great "All About" writing we worked on? Think about your chapters, can you turn one into a "How To" and teach someone how to do something? Make sure your "How To" has at least 3-5 steps. Remember you can have someone draw the lines so you can rehearse your "How To" before you start writing today too!
Social Studies: Let's talk about what the colonists wanted to change. Why do you think talking to each other was a good idea? Now complete page 112 from your Social Studies packet. Watch the BrainPop Jr. video Thirteen Colonies.
