Word Work: This week we will continue to work with vowel teams to help us read and spell words. Today we will review the OA vowel team and learn words that are spelled with the OE vowel team. Practice reading and spelling these vowel team words. Try to write one telling, one asking, and one exciting sentence using your red words this week too.
OA Vowel Team Words: oak soap coat road soak toad
OE Vowel Team Words: tiptoe goes doe
Red Words: about don't pretty
Reading: Today we will continue reading Judy Moody Mood Martian. Today when we read we will start to use clues from our character's actions to help make a prediction. When we finish reading today, make a prediction in your book and color in an April Reading Raindrop!
Math: First we will check over your addition problems from yesterday and then we will practice adding more two digit numbers. You can use any strategy that works best for you today!
Writing: We will continue writing our opinions. Remember an opinion is something that you think and feel. It is important to give examples and reasons to support your opinion, however not everyone has to agree with you. Your opinion is NOT a fact that needs to be proved. It belongs to you and just needs to be supported.
Science: Today we will read the next two chapters in Seed to Plant and then complete the Parts of a Plant page in your Science packet. Don't forget to color your flower a bright and cheery color too!
