Word Work: This week we will review our 1st grade red words from the past two weeks. Check back here each day for a new activity or challenge to do with your words. Ask a parent, brother, or sister to join in and practice the words with you!
Today your activity is go outside and write your words with sidewalk chalk. If you don't have sidewalk chalk that's OK too. Just grab some plain paper and crayons, pencils, or markers and make fancy words instead! If you are feeling extra creative today you can do both activities too!

Reading: Today we will finish our chapter book Judy Moody. Let's review and summarize what has happened so far in the story. Remember to pay attention to how Judy and the other characters are felt throughout the story and the actions that made them change. Before you go off to read on your own today, I want you to stop and think about your characters, how they are feeling, and what events make their feelings change. Remember to complete an April Reading Raindrop!
Math: Today in math you will go onto Pearson to watch the assigned video and complete the quick check for lesson 10.9.
Flipgrid: Instead of writing this week we will be learning how to use Flipgrid with the help of Mrs. Schneider. Each day you will have some activity to complete to help you learn how to use Flipgrid just like the big kids. When we get back from break we will start to have Flipgrid Fridays! YAY!

Then take a nature walk, even if it's just in your own backyards and see what we can observe about spring. Just like a scientist think of different ways you can record your observations. Choose one or two of your observations to write about. Remember to practice all of your good first grade writing skills and write our observations in complete sentences with capital letters and punctuation marks. Don't forget to use details too!
